Developing up of Libraries in Schools under School Education

Project Scope:

    The initiative aims to develop and modernize libraries across 1,138 government schools to improve children's reading habits and provide better access to quality educational resources

Funding Source:

    The project will be financed using 5% of the funds available with the Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas and the Directorate of Public Libraries.

Fund Distribution:

    All allocated funds are to be transferred directly into the bank accounts of the Amma Adarsha Patashala Committees (AAPC) belonging to the 1,138 selected schools.

Monthly Subscriptions Allowance:

    Each school is allotted Rs. 1,000 per month specifically for purchasing newspapers, magazines, and journals.

 One-Time Infrastructure Grant:

    A lump sum of Rs. 15,000 per school (amounting to a total of Rs. 1,70,70,000) will be provided for infrastructure improvements such as room repairs, painting, reading tables, chairs, book racks, fans, lights, and procuring additional books.

Decision-Making Committees:

    The specific reading materials to be subscribed to and the utilization of the one-time expenditure will be finalized by a school-level committee comprising the Headmaster (HM), teachers, all AAPC members, and Student Council members.

    పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ పరిధిలోని 1138 పాఠశాలల్లో పబ్లిక్ లైబ్రరీల డైరెక్టరేట్ / జిల్లా గ్రంథాలయ సంస్థల వద్ద అందుబాటులో ఉన్న నిధులతో గ్రంథాలయాలను అభివృద్ధి చేయనున్నారు.

ప్రధాన ఉద్దేశం:

  విద్యార్థుల్లో పఠనాసక్తిని పెంచడం, జ్ఞాన సంస్కృతిని ప్రోత్సహించడం, మరియు ఉపాధ్యాయులు, విద్యార్థులకు నాణ్యమైన పుస్తకాలను అందుబాటులోకి తేవడం.

నెలవారీ నిధులు:

    వార్తాపత్రికలు, మ్యాగజైన్లు మరియు జర్నల్స్ కొనుగోలు చేయడానికి 1138 పాఠశాలల 'అమ్మ ఆదర్శ పాఠశాల కమిటీల (AAPC) బ్యాంకు ఖాతాలకు నెలకు రూ. 1,000/- చొప్పున విడుదల చేస్తారు.

ఒకేసారి మంజూరు చేసే నిధులు (One-time expenditure):

    లైబ్రరీ గదికి మరమ్మతులు/పెయింటింగ్ చేయడం, అవసరమైన రీడింగ్ టేబుల్స్, కుర్చీలు, పుస్తకాల రాక్‌లు, ఫ్యాన్లు, లైట్లు మరియు పుస్తకాలను కొనుగోలు చేయడం కోసం ఒక్కో పాఠశాలకు రూ. 15,000/- చొప్పున (మొత్తం రూ. 1,70,70,000) మంజూరు చేశారు.

నిర్ణయాధికారం:

    కొనుగోలు చేయాల్సిన పత్రికలు, పుస్తకాలను ప్రధానోపాధ్యాయుడు (HM), ఉపాధ్యాయులు, అమ్మ ఆదర్శ పాఠశాల కమిటీ సభ్యులు మరియు విద్యార్థి కౌన్సిల్ సభ్యులతో కూడిన కమిటీ ఖరారు చేస్తుంది.
